Di Vittorio’s Sarabanda Antica receives its world premiere with the Chamber Orchestra of New York on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall. The work was composed for the occasion of the upcoming Naxos recording featuring several of Di Vittorio’s commissioned works – including the related Sea Fanfare “On a Theme by Monteverdi” for organ and orchestra (for the San Diego Symphony). As part of the 10th Anniversary Season, Chamber Orchestra of New York is presenting a showcase of the music of its founding Music Director and composer Salvatore Di Vittorio. Premieres of Di Vittorio’s music this season include Palermo Overture on October 28th (World Premiere) at Carnegie Hall, Ode Corelliana (New York Premiere) on November 17th at The Morgan Library & Museum and on March 1st (Carnegie Hall premiere), and Preludio Sentimentale on December 9th (World Premiere) at Carnegie Hall.

Maestro Salvatore Di Vittorio opens the Chamber Orchestra of New York 10th Anniversary Season with the world premiere of his Palermo Overture. The overture will be part of the season opening concert “Postcards from Italy” on Saturday, October 28th at Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall.
