Program Notes/Il Programma
This work was written and premiered for the 130th anniversary of the Village of Larchmont in Westchester, New York. It is a period piece depicting music around the turn of the 19th century and following in the footsteps of barcaroles (boat songs) composed by Chopin and Mendelssohn. The premiere was scheduled for Constitution Park in Larchmont but moved to Kenny Hall of the Church of St. Augustine due to rain in the forecast.
