Dedicated to the contralto Alessandra Visentin, and I Musici di Parma.
Arie per Enea is a song cycle of four arias composed for the contralto/mezzosoprano Alessandra Visentin, for an upcoming world premiere in Italy. The poems of Dido’s laments are excerpts derived from Virgil’s Aeneid. This is one of several works that Di Vittorio is completing in connection to the Aeneid.
